The saying goes, “Size doesn’t matter.” That cliché proved to be true in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals series between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors. The Warriors went small ball to help them overcome a 16-point deficit in the second quarter, and defeat the Houston Rockets 110-106 to take a 1-0 series lead.

This one had déjà vu written all over it. Houston jumped out to an early double-digit lead in the first two quarters, and then they would get sloppy, careless, and relinquish their lead to the Clippers. Then, LA would open up a double-digit lead and not look back in winning not one, but two games on the road, and basically all but dashing the hopes of the Houston Rockets of further advancing to the Western Conference Finals. Only this time, the Rockets wrote a different ending to the story.
